Figaro il barbiere is a chamber proposal of “The Barber of Seville” by G. Rossini. The narrator addresses the audience, describing highlights and characters of the opera, on an original reduction of the time of Rossini’s music.

 

Elio
Born in a suburban area of Milan, very young he moved to another district, again in the suburbs. Years later he moved out of Milan, but not so far, where he still lives, in the suburbs of where he lived as a child. Milan is the city he was born in and where he attended elementary school, junior high school, the “Einstein” high school with Mangoni, Engineering University at the Politecnico (that he finished with no rush), the public music school where he studied transverse flute and graduated at the Conservatory G. Verdi of Milan although G. Verdi was born in Busseto but let’s don’t dare the comparison. He also played soccer in the Milanese, Fatima, and Corsico teams until he was 18 years old, then in Ares he played baseball, a sport he still enjoys. He absolved his military duty from 1986 to 1988 and since 1979 he’s been trying to realize the dream of Elio e le Storie Tese, his music band.

 

Roberto Fabbriciani
Born in Arezzo, he is an original musician and a versatile artist who innovated the flute technique multiplying the sound possibilities of the instrument thanks to a personal research.
Roberto Fabbriciani collaborated with the most prestigious composers who dedicated several important works to him: S. Bussotti, J. Cage, E. Carter, N. Castiglioni, A. Clementi, L. De Pablo,  F. Donatoni, J. Feld, B. Ferneyhough, J. Françaix, H. Genzmer, A. Guarnieri, T. Hosokawa, E. Krenek, G. Kurtág, G. Ligeti, L. Lombardi, O. Messiaen, E. Morricone, L. Nono, G. Petrassi, W. Rihm, J.C. Risset, J. Rodrigo, N. Rota, N. Sani, G. Scelsi, S. Sciarrino, D. Schnebel,  M. Sotelo, K. Stockhausen, T. Takemitsu,  I. Yun.
He has often been invited to many Festivals, such as the Venice Biennial, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Spoleto, London, Edinburgh, Paris, Madrid, Bruxelles, Luzern, Salisburgo, Wien, Lockenhaus, Warsaw, Biennale di Zagreb, Dubrovnik, St. Petersburg, Donaueschingen, Köln, Munich, Berlin, Tokyo.
He played as a soloist in many orchestras, as the Orchestra of the Scala of Milan, of the S. Cecilia Academy of Roma, the Orchestras of RAI, ECYO, LSO, London Sinfonietta, RTL Luxembourg, BRTN Brussel, Orchestre Symphonique de la Monnaie, WDR  di Colonia, SWF di Baden-Baden, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, United Berlin, Bavarian Chamber Orchestra, Bayerischer Rundfunks, Münchener Philharmoniker, with many prestigious conductors: C. Abbado, L. Berio, E. Bour, R. Chailly, S. Comissiona, P. Eötvös, V. Fedoseyev, G. Gavazzeni, C. Halffter, D. Kachidse,  B. Maderna, P. Maag, I. Metzmacher, R. Muti,  Z. Pesko, J. Pons, G. Sinopoli,  A. Tamayo, L. Zagrosek.
He made endless recordings, also for several radio and TV networks. He is a Professor for Flute Studies, having taught at the Conservatory “L. Cherubini” of Florence, PhD specialization courses at the University Mozarteum of Salzburg and at the New York University.
