Two young couples who live at the extreme  ends of society and the Parisian suburbs. At the margins Jeanne, cashier and Jo, an occasional worker… in the middle, Onyx, fascinating intellectual from the Latin Quarter and his lover A.J., engineer exiled  to Shangai. Jeanne’s  folly, Jo’s rascality, Onyx’s vanity and A.J.’s conventional behaviour  will ensure that their lives will cross. Their passions and despair are witnessed by two people who are divided by everything:  a well-known, famous Jewish lawyer and Jeanne’s mother,  whose claim to her Southern origin  has rendered her hostile towards  any form of diversity. All this will force  some wealthy Parisians to   take interest in the occasional temporary workers of the suburbs.
