The traditional Noontime concerts return to the Teatro Caio Melisso  entrusted to the young talents of the Music School of Fiesole, with which  the Festival continues the successful collaboration that was launched last year, and the excellent string ensemble I Solisti di Perugia .

Scuola di Musica di Fiesole
The Music School of Fiesole was founded in 1974 as a free association by Piero Farulli and a group of musicians and music lovers. It has always emphasized the ensemble: the student begins at the age of six joining the ensemble Crescendo, then continues with the Youth Orchestra, Orchestra incenzo Galilei and finally the Italian Youth Orchestra, which has had the honor of having directors such as Abbado Ferro Muti, Sinopoli, Giulini, Tate. In addition to basic courses, the School offers annual courses of masterclass with teachers such as M. Tipo, N. Gutman, P. Vernikov, B. Canino, F. Helmerson, G. Corti, M. Postinghel, C. Desderi, the Trio of Parma. In 2002 it created the European Academy of the Quartet in network with some of the most important European training centers  from Vienna to Zurich, from Paris to Helsinki. Besides the four famous founders, Peter Farulli, Hatto Beyerle, Norbert Brainin, and Milan Skampa, its teachers have been musicians  such as G. Kurtág, V. Berlinsky, S. Sciarrino, A. Corghi, C. Coin, M. Stroppa, F. Vacchi. In 198 it was awarded the first Abbiati Prize as the best musical initiative. In 2004 the Italian Youth Orchestra was awarded the Abbiati Prize of Music Critics as best musical initiative which has trained thousands of professionals since 1984. In 2005 it received the National President of the Republic Award from Carlo Azeglio Ciampi upon the recommendation of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia, and in 2008 the Praemium Imperiale Grant for Young Artists. Andrea Lucchesini is currently Artistic Director of the Music School of Fiesole.
