The ogreling lives with his mother in a house in the heart of a forest, far from the village community. To escape from  the irresistible attraction he feels for fresh blood,  he will have to face three trials whose success will determine his growth, his transformation and his salvation. He will then be able to fulfill his dream of being accepted into the village community.
The choice of the Accademia Perduta  falls upon a dark and tender tale, which draws its inspiration from popular fairy tales and is brought on stage thanks to the  fine and intelligent writing of the great children´s author Suzanne Lebeau. This text  premieres for the first time in Italy,  yet has already been performed in thirteen countries around the world and has had great success, especially in France, where this fine Canadian author is well- known and appreciated.
Claudio Casadio, Daniela Piccari and Marcello Chiarenza confront this poetic, ironic and striking text  personalizing it with the intent to amuse and narrate but also to make the spectators, children and families, think. The staging, created specially by Marcello Chiarenza, makes a magical use of the theatrical space, in which actors move lightly but dramatically, and casts a succession of small magic spells;  an evolution of continuous visual and sound suggestions that captivate the viewer, until the final unravelling. The original music, indeed designed to accompany a strong emotional impact, creates a background that highlights the dramatic nature of the various moments of the show.
