| Tickets: €40 Le Condamné a mort is the first work published by Jean Genet in1942. When the poet was imprisoned at Fresnes for theft, he wrote this long poem which portrays the last night of Maurice Pilorge, a twenty-year-old murderer sentenced to death. For the last ten years, Etienne Daho has sung "Sur mon cou" extracted from this work, and the meeting with Jeanne Moreau has given substance to their mutual desire to record and interpret on stage the full version of "Le condamnè à mort", originally set to music by Hélène Martin in 1964. |
