Among the initiatives promoted by the Festival dei Due Mondi to celebrate the centennial of the birth of its founder Gian Carlo Menotti, we have not forgotten the children. Those in elementary and middle schools are invited to participate, together with their teachers, in the "We are the Festival" contest through interviews and the collection of old photographs and documents that recall the experiences and emotions linked to the previous editions of the Festival.
This is a joyous celebration for the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of those who hosted, worked and in various ways contributed to the making of the Festival over the years. It will be an occasion to celebrate and commemorate all the poetry and the emotions associated with the Festival of Spoleto.
The projects which best represent the spirit of the Festival will be selected by the jury, chaired by the President of the Fondazione Festival dei Due Mondi Giorgio Ferrara , and rewarded on July 7. All the participating projects will be posted on the official website of the Festival and exhibited in the public library G. Carducci as a first step of the project "The Memory Palace" of Spoleto.
